A Company History

Kirra Holidays was established in Adelaide, South Australia and the first tour for Australian school students to New Zealand took place in August 1968.

Since those early beginnings Kirra Holidays has grown into a major travel business with offices in Adelaide, Christchurch and London supporting an enviable range of touring and travel options for domestic and international visitors to New Zealand. Our ambition is to enable the ultimate in visitor experience and satisfaction through a choice of innovative and experiential holidays.

Our overriding strength is our staff’s customer service and attention to detail. They are all very well trained in destination New Zealand and it’s many scenic wonders and sightseeing experiences  through extensive internal and supplier training and frequent travel to New Zealand.

Kirra Holidays is a privately owned company. We support the 100% KIWI positioning – not only is New Zealand the only destination we cover, we are 100% KIWI owned, so it is where are heart is.

For over 41 Years Kirra Holidays has increased its range and knowledge of New Zealand holiday experiences, we have built strong relationships and our reputation within the New Zealand tourism and travel industry. Working closely with Tourism New Zealand, regional tourism offices and local suppliers we have created a number of product innovations that are the envy of others.

We have an in-house a special interest groups division that has provided many diverse and unusual groups with highly satisfied experiences over the years. Our experience provides us with the confidence that we can handle any type and style of group regardless of size and expectation.
